Holloman Air Force Base is a United States Air Force (USAF) base located in Otero County, New Mexico. Established in 1942, it is named after Col. George V. Holloman, a pioneer in guided missile research.

History[edit | edit source]

The base has been a significant site for aerospace testing and development, notably including work on unmanned aerial vehicles and high-speed test tracks. Home to the 49th Wing, Holloman AFB has played an important role in USAF operations and training programs.

Alleged ET Connections[edit | edit source]

In conspiracy circles, Holloman AFB is often cited as a location for alleged meetings between President Dwight D. Eisenhower and extraterrestrial beings in the 1950s. These rumors feed into larger UFO conspiracy theories involving the U.S. military and alleged non-human intelligent beings (NHIBs).
