Glamis Calling[edit | edit source]

This blog purported to be a communication platform used by the 'World Governing Council' (WGC) and the 'Upper Chamber' of the House of Wettin, described as a secretive organization overseeing global elite networks, to send out messages to members and underlings (the House of Wettin really exists, and is an old European noble house of which the British royal family is one branch). Many of these messages were signed 'Somerset Belenoff'. Although website data showed that the website had been created in 2019, it contained postings with dates going back as far as 2016. They were mostly cryptic, and often appeared to be giving orders to various world leaders. Amateur researchers noted that many of these corresponded to events that had taken place shortly after the relevant posts had been made, and commented that if it was a hoax, it was a very elaborate and well-researched one.

The blog mentioned various cryptically named assets possessed by the WGC, such as 'Deep Siren' and 'VibeSat', and often made occult references, such as a report that their operatives had observed the arrival of a recently deceased ambassador on the astral plane, accompanied by a picture of the owl-like demon Stolas, and a few messages which appeared to be addressed to ghosts who Belenoff invited to meet her at a given place and time.

Two posts, dated August 31st and October 27th 2017, appeared to claim responsibility for the 'Q' postings of QAnon, saying 'Initiative Q is approved by Glamis and the Upper Chamber. Prepare posts for Winterfylleth 28 on Channel 4' and 'Begin posting and expect major impact. All shall awaken!'. The first Q post on 4chan was made on 28 October 2017.

Who is Somerset Belenoff?[edit | edit source]

This website claimed to be run by an amateur group called the Shadow Watchers. They provided more details about Belenoff and denounced her in no measured terms, saying that she was a witch and had committed multiple gruesome murders. They described her as the Countess of Banbury and Arran, the appointed head of the House of Wettin and the third cousin of Queen Elizabeth II, and stated that 'She sits unchallenged atop the Illuminati hierarchy and she rules with an iron fist'. However, there is no such title as Countess of Banbury and Arran. The earldom of Banbury went extinct in 1813. The current Countess of Arran is named Eleanor.[1][2]

The website supported their claims with numerous detailed sources - but none of them verifiable.
