Born in France, Danaan graduated in Fine Arts in Paris and completed postgraduate studies in archaeology at the Louvre University.[1] She worked as a field archaeologist for twenty years, including eight years in Egypt as an engineer epigraphist for the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS), working at sites such as Karnak, Luxor, Cairo, Dendera, and the Valley of the Kings.[2] Upon returning to France, she was assigned to the University of Toulouse.
