An extraterrestrial being, also known as an extraterrestrial or space alien, is a being that originates beyond Earth. Extraterrestrial beings are distinct from terrestrial humans, cryptoterrestrials (including subterranean nonhuman intelligent beings), and covert extraterrestrials, but they may overlap with non-human intelligent beings (see Terminology).
