To propose splitting/merging an entire section from one page into another, one would normally use {{tlx|Merge from|section{{=}}y}} and {{tlx|Merge to|section{{=}}y|}}.  To propose merging an entire page into another, use {{tlx|Merge to}} and {{tlx|Merge from}}.

If several sections in the current article need to move to one or more other articles, at least one of which already exists, then using separate {{tlx|Merge to}} tags would often be visually disruptive to the article. Instead, the {{para|existing}} parameter of this template can be used, with {{para|sections}}:
